Halloween, Samhain, Dia de los Muertos

To my ancestors we are in an important moment in the year. As we descend into the darkness of winter, the ancient Celts had a three day period of time-out-of-time, days not considered part of the normal calendar. This is the space to get your affairs in order, pay debts and follow through. On Samhain – Halloween, the veils between the worlds are thinned, and so honoring our dead is proper.  In Mexico too they have many beautiful traditions honoring this energy that is moving through now.

So I wish all of you well- may you be granted some space to center, reflect and get clear on what is important to you. May you face your shadows and your fears head on. May you enter the darkness of winter with no haunting regrets.  May the ancestors be honored, and may they in turn lend us all help in these perilous times we live in. Trust in the returning light- relax into this dark time of retreat- soon enough the long days of hard work will return.  Tune into the light within. The power of being centered in love protects you from all goblins, but only after you acknowledge your shadows and let go of your fears.

Much Love as we enter the Cauldron.
